Bay City Basketball’s travel and club programs provide both a competitive and a developmental basketball experience that gives players the tools to develop their fundamental team basketball skills as well as individual concepts necessary to take their game to the next level.
Through persistence and commitment, the Bay City Basketball coaching staff will teach players values of integrity, respect for self and opponents, selflessness, responsibility, teamwork, tenacity, and leadership. The Bay City Basketball youth program seeks to develop the student athletes’ life skills and personal growth through the sport of basketball.
Positive reinforcement serves as the basis of our coaching philosophy. We are highly competitive and will push our players to be the best that they are capable of and at the end of the day we value team and personal growth over winning. Our spring/summer season runs from March through the end of July, and will consist of 25-40 games and two team practices each week with our highly trained coaching staff.
Our supplemental fall season runs from September through early December and provides each team with 15 – 25 games in leagues and tournaments in the Bay Area. Our girls program also offers a 12 – 15 game Winter program with practices from November-February.
Our teams will compete in various tournaments and or leagues such as: The City League (Fall season, San Francisco), Las Vegas Big Time or Jam on it Nationals (Las Vegas), Coca Cola Nationals (Anaheim) , Nike Hoop Summit (Portland), SGV Aloha Challenge (Anaheim) . Bay Area tournaments include events hosted by Oakland Rebels, NBBA, NorCal Elite, 4 Ballers Only, G365 and many more!
Tryouts are held in early March for the spring/summer season and in late August for the fall season.
Our Bay City Basketball youth tournaments are an extension of these principles. We seek to develop a strongly competitive tournaments where teams can come together and compete in a safe, challenging, and enjoyable environment where sportsmanship is of the utmost importance from players, coaches, and fans.
