Albany Youth Basketball League

Our new Albany Youth Basketball League is for boys and girls in 2nd through 8th grade. Our Fall season will run every Sunday from November 3rd – December 15th.
League Format:
- Each session will include 30 – 40 minutes of fundamentals and skill work and 30 – 40 minutes of a live 5 on 5 game.
- Our staff will make two evenly skilled teams in each session that will allow for a competitive game experience.
- Each team will have a coach who will sub evenly using a sub chart. Sessions 5-8 are allowed free subbing the last 2 minutes of the game when within 10 points.
- Each game will have a referee / court director who will facilitate the game and make sure the players understand the league rules. We will keep score to teach players how to be competitive in the right way and learn basketball IQ and situational awareness.
- This league is intended for players that have participated in camps/clinics before and or grasp a basic understanding and fundamentals of the game.
- A portion of the proceeds will help support the Albany High School boys and girls basketball programs.

Coaching Staff: Our coaching staff is made up of experienced Bay City coaches as well as Albany HS current and past players.
All players will receive a gear item
Session Times & Divisions:
Player max per session: 20 (10 on each team)
Each time slot will have 2 sessions (one on each court)
9:00am – 10:15am : (1 hour 15 minutes)
Court 1: 1st/2nd grade girls (lowered hoops)
Court 2: 1st/2nd grade boys (lowered hoops)
10:20am – 11:35: (1 hour 15 minutes)
Court 1 & 2: 3rd/4th grade boys (10 foot hoop)
11:40 – 1:00pm: (1 hour 20 minutes)
Court 1: 3rd – 5th Girls
Court 2: 6th – 8th Girls
1:05pm – 2:30pm: (1 hour 25 minutes)
Court 1: 7th/8th boys
Court 2: 7th/8th girls
